Leading well requires time to learn, reflect, and connect. Yet too often, leaders are expected to figure it out on the fly, squeezing their own development between interruptions and urgent demands. Making room for leadership development is one of the most valuable investments an organization can make, with benefits that ripple out to every leader, team, and person they serve.
She’s A Leader offers a dedicated space to hit the pause button and grow intentionally, alongside peers who understand the work.
Each circle blends practical leadership topics with plenty of time for discussion and sharing. Topics will evolve with each group, and may include:
Building a healthy culture: Defining the culture you want, developing it intentionally, and understanding how culture drives performance.
Mindset: Recognizing your own mindset and your team’s, and how both shape what’s possible.
Feedback: Giving and receiving feedback with clarity and care, including the difference between being nice and being kind.
Keeping good people: Understanding the “stay” factors that help employees feel valued and want to remain.
Hitting the pause button: Time management, self-care, and self-compassion, because leaders can’t pour from an empty cup.
Learning from each other: Time to share, reflect and learn from peers, because the conversation is as important as the contentearning from each other: Time to talk, reflect, and learn from peers, because the conversation is just as important as the content.
Lisa Leary, MS, CCWBS, Founder and Lead Circle Facilitator
Lisa has spent more than 20 years working with healthcare providers to build healthy, productive workplaces. Her approach is rooted in a simple belief: performance is driven by culture and wellbeing, and both require intention, practice, and ongoing support. As a former veterinary technician and longtime healthcare consultant, she knows firsthand the pressures of doing the work and leading it. And understand that when leaders get the right support, teams grow more connected, people find more joy in their work, and performance follows.
She holds a master’s in Evaluative Clinical Sciences from Dartmouth College and is a Certified Corporate Wellbeing Specialist. She draws on a wide range of wisdom, from W. Edwards Deming to Pema Chödrön. The result: circles that are practical, compassionate, and grounded in the realities of the work.
